Currently Looking to hire :  The Global Product Manager is responsible for all upstream marketing activities for a specific portfolio of products. Develops, implements and maintains product marketing plans to exceed units, revenue and profitability goals for their product lines in all targeted regions. Serves as critical link between global customers, global sales team, downstream marketing, and other internal functions..

Responsibilities

 

The Global Product Manager will be responsible for maintaining a 3-year strategic plan for their business. This will include ongoing market assessments, competitive landscape analyses, identification of opportunities and threats, as well as identification of new sources of growth. In addition, this individual will be responsible for identifying new sourced products and/or innovation to drive top-line growth.

Innovation   The Global Product Manager will be responsible for the new product innovation pipeline as well as non-product and business model innovation. He/she will be responsible for identifying customer insights on current and future unmet needs, and translating those insights into a framework for the development and launch of new products and services. This individual must be able to effectively partner cross functionally to drive the development and/or acquisition of products, services, and technologies to meet those needs.

 

Commercial Performance  The Global Product Manager will support the global sales and downstream marketing organizations through the development of advertising, sales and promotional tools, KOL management programs, and clinical education support materials. This individual must be able to effectively partner with local sales and marketing, as well as other key functions to help achieve annual sales and profitability targets. He/she will develop product sales forecasts for new products in conjunction with operations / production planning. This individual will be responsible for market analysis, identification of opportunities, goal setting and driving of best practices amongst regions.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree (MBA prefered)  4-6 years related experience  

 Experience in upstream marketing is required. Experience in downstream marketing is a plus. Experience in ophthalmology and/or surgical products is preferred. Experience with new product development is required. The ability to build strong productive relationships within a cross-functional team is required. Proven expertise in developing sales and marketing initiatives directed at health care professionals is required. Experience with portfolio management, and product lifecycle management is required. The ability to think analytically with an entrepreneurial approach to drive business results is required. Global marketing experience is a plus.
