We are currently looking to hire a Retinal Sr. Sales Representative , Reporting to Regional Sales Leader and Covering a territory of Texas.
Exciting Opportunity to join BVI’s newest retinal division Vitreq, who’s mission is to become one of the leading vitreoretinal surgery platforms globally. This division’s main focus is to build a robust, high-quality ophthalmic portfolio within the vitreoretinal surgery market by collaborating with our internal R&D, engineering, renowned surgeons, to create a portfolio of state of the art minimally invasive retinal instruments and capital equipment designed to match the needs of today’s and tomorrow’s surgical needs.
This position is responsible for managing a sales territory, and promoting and selling Vitreq’s existing line of single-use and reusable vitreoretinal surgical instrumentation and other surgical supplies related to these cases to retinal surgeons in that given market. The surgical sales consultant will also be responsible for establishing key relationships with Administrators, Surgical OR Managers, Materials Mgrs, and other key decision makers in the selling process to facilitate the sale of retinal instrumentation with that territory. Will work in conjunction with the BVI anterior segment Surgical Sales Representative and will share leads and opportunities as they arise with BVI’s other products lines. Will work closely with BVI's Endo Optiks Sales Specialists to facilitate leads where needed for the sale and follow through with capital sales for the Endo team. Target call points will be hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. The incumbent must maintain knowledge of a diverse portfolio of BVI products and support sales efforts for same. Incumbent is responsible for administrative reporting such as account profiles and analysis (including CRM population), daily/monthly/quarterly/annual planning, provision of competitive intelligence, maintaining an up-to-date list of inventory, expense reporting, etc. The incumbent must also maintain and utilize an effective supply of marketing collateral in order to provide sufficient for promotional needs to support their assigned territory.
Required: B.S./B.A. Degree in Business and/or related medical field/college degree .- 5+ years of Ophthalmic Vitreoretinal instrumentation sales experience with proven track record of success.-5+ years of Posterior Segment Vitreoretinal phaco/vitrectomy capital sales experience. Solid network of Retinal Surgeons and contacts within marketplace in the assigned sales territory. Experience using a contact database or CRM tool. (Saleforce.com preferred).
Candidates for this position should have a demonstrated track record of success and an aptitude to learn and apply new knoweldge. Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to foster and develop strong relationships is a must. All candidates for this position must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and must be able to read and write in English.
